I am writing to express my concerns to the FCC about the CAF II Auction. My concerns are about price and reliability; and the biggest culprit of these are: Satellite, and wireless solutions. Satellite is only reliable in good, clear weather and has low data caps, and high bandwidth costs. Wireless is like Satellite in regards of it being reliable in good weather, but also has the downside of having congestion effect it more heavily. Depending on the plan data caps can be as high as 150GB, or as low as 4GB. The only clear solution I see is to build out either Cable or Fibe; or upgrade current infrastructure. Because nothing will ever beat the reliability of having a wire hooked up from the datacenter to your computer. And here I am writing to urge the FCC not to accept anything less than bids for hardlined internet. (Fiber, DSL, or Cable.) Thank you for giving me a voice to express my thoughts and opinion.
