Dear FCC, Per the FCC invitation for public comments on a Petition for Rule Making (RM-11826). It is a good idea to simplify Emergency communications. The flaw in RM-11826 though is that it would require a control point operator to permit the Tactical Call signs to be used. This would certainly create confusion during a real Emergency since it assumes a control point exists. A less confusing alternative would be to leave the regulation as it stands today but add that Tactical call signs may precede or follow the license holder’s normal call sign at the currently required intervals. Should a control point become established, the control point would advise other licensees to modify their Tactical call sign should confusion arise. Jeff Fose N6ETE
