Amateur radio provides a significant role in emergency communications. The quick, error free exchange of digital data has become a main stream for many support operations where nothing else worked except amateur radio. Winlink is an application that is vital to many emergency operations. The use of HF gateway both in the Amateur (PUBLIC) and SHARES arenas has saved many lives and aided in uncountable situations. I only see this docket supporting the very few who are either upset about some past incident, would prefer to see persons in need go without or perhaps they just feel left out not being able to read my messages.
