Pactor Modem Comments

To whom it may concern,
My wife and I are blue water sailors and have relied heavily upon our SCS Pactor II modem for life safety weather reports and obtaining GRIB weather files while offshore.
We have invested heavily in the equipment to use this technology and there is no other option for us to obtain detailed offshore weather while at sea. This is a life safety issue and we NEED the ability to utilize our Pactor modem for obtaining both weather forecasts and to communicate with family, businesses and foreign counties for obtaining visa's, corresponding with customs and immigration via e-mail. It is imperative that we be able to continue to utilize these features - and even more so with the current trends in climate change and propensity for life threatening cyclonic events. Please do not infringe on this technology that so many Mariners depend on on a daily basis!
