It is crucial to the survival of our democracy that the press be a diverse and free entity. Sinclair has shown time and time again that it demands conformity from its reporters and would rather play in the world of propaganda than journalism. To allow Sinclair to grow its already large market share, especially this excessively, would be a stain on our history. We must step away from the monopolization of the media, not walk toward it enthusiastically. We should learn from the mistakes of the past, not repeat them.
