I urge the FCC to vote no on the ability for anyone to use "ringless" voicemail messages. Not only are they not actually ringless, since phones will still audibly notify when they receive a new voicemail, but my experiences with this happening already have shown me that they are willing to call at all hours of the day or night to leave messages under the idea that they can do whatever they want. This results in lost sleep from irresponsible telemarketers waking me in the middle of the night. It is also a waste of resources to have to clear out messages from people that I already made clear I didn't want by being on the do-not-call list, and furthermore made clear by blocking their phone number on my phone. This type of system can also be abused by people who would use such technologies to harass others, such as in the case of ex-spouses.
