The "net neutrality" regulations established in the past few years are essential to protecting internet consumers and independent internet content providers against the collusion of a few well-backed internet content providers and the few internet service providers. These regulations should be continued and enforced to ensure that the internet continues to be an exemplary outlet for citizens to exercise their First Amendment rights to freedom of expression. Internet service providers should not be allowed to abuse their control of public telephone infrastructure and licensed public "wireless" radio bandwidth to serve narrow corporate interests when reasonable regulation can ensure that they continue to serve the public fairly in a "free market of ideas".
