Internet Neutrality is an idea where the PEOPLE may communicate freely without fear of censorship. Under the OLD Title I method of regulation ISP”s were free to throttle bandwidth, block sites and promote other sites, oversell access etc, which is controlling a lot of what we see and hear. Title II (Common Carrier) regulation helps to give the control of what people see and hear back to the people. Some misguided individuals feel that the corporations can regulate themselves. They won’t without strict rules and that is what government is for, to PROTECT THE PEOPLE. The current FCC chairman seems to be interested only in protecting and promoting corporate greed and not in protecting the people’s freedom of speech and communication. I strongly oppose any effort to roll back the current Title II regulation of Internet Access and believe that the people have the right to choose what they see and view and share without the ISP’s blocking access, throttling access or rerouting bandwidth to “Preferred” sites and any other nonsense. If anything I think that stronger regulations are needed to make ISP’s live up to bandwidth speed promises, regulate price gouging, and prevent any kind of content “filtering” that we can expect if we go back to the previous regulation model. What is that definition of insanity: Doing the same thing over again, but expecting a different result.
