If we do not preserve net neutrality, the internet will eventually no longer be free or open. Any rule that would allow an entity to pay for prioritization by ISPs (internet service providers) would only prevent those who could not pay enough from participating. It's an obvious and misguided play for larger companies. Besides the obvious, blocking or throttling would only serve to increase the cost of internet access for everyone. The idea that what we have access to or how much we can see in a certain period of time is antithetical to free speech and should never be considered.
