Net neutrality must be preserved. Internet service providers should be considered identical to other utility providers. Similar to electricity providers, which deliver power identically from whatever source the consumer choses, ISPs should simply provide an internet connection of whatever speed is paid for. This connection should treat all content sources identically, just as is the case with sources of electricity. More specifically, the ISPs should be explicitly forbidden from blocking any web sites or modifying the speed of the connection for different sites. Once an internet connection of a specific speed is established, no company should be given the power to moderate or throttle, or modify the speed of that connection.
