The internet should be free, as is speech, press, and religion. To hinder the flow of information, in any form, is a disservice to everyone. No one, company or person, should be in control of what we are allowed to read, watch, or participate in. Knowledge is the greatest tool for any person to possess.  It shouldn't be a privilege available only to the rich, powerful, or well connected.  Knowledge is power and if any one entity is allowed to control the flow of knowledge we are setting ourselves up for spectacular failure.  Ultimately, this is about more than corporations making money.  This is about not allowing ourselves to take the first step down a slippery slope.  Because once you restrict the flow of knowledge, for any reason, you distance yourself from enlighten and condemn yourself to the dark.
