Dear FCC, Please keep the 2015 Open Internet Order intact. This protects the consumers (users) of the Internet and enables businesses to develop new services. To make the U. S. A. stronger the Internet should be treated as part of the basic infrastructure and made available to everyone at a reasonable price. The past two expansions of the economy have largely been attributed to the growth of the Internet. Newer services such as Netflix and cloud computing require higher bandwidth and are adding more users to the Internet. Internet Service Providers (ISPs) should be competing on the service and bandwidth which they provide. Rolling back the 2015 Internet Order benefits only the Internet Service Providers (ISPs) allowing them to charge more for connections, limit bandwidth and slow the expansion of the Internet. Most of the major ISPs are effectively monopolies. Rolling back Net Neutrality only strengthens the ISPs hold on the market by enabling them to "tax" companies creating bandwidth intensive services or disruptive technologies. This "tax" raises the cost to develop these services and technologies making it harder to transition them from the research phase into production. Consumers are increasing the demand for digital assistants such as Siri, Cortans and Google's assistant, streaming radio services such as iHeartRadio, Pandora and Sirius XM streaming, along with streaming video services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video. Developing technologies such as self driving cars will also require additional bandwidth from the Internet. Having ISPs limiting bandwidth will delay the the introduction of these new technologies, restricting the growth of these businesses and thus the U.S. economy. Sincerely, Leroy P.
