I'm writing today because it has become obvious to me that every voice in America is required to convince the FCC that repealing net neutrality is a bad idea for both internet consumers and developers. Let's be very clear here. You're only doing this to appease the ISP companies. They lobbied your organization, and you're granting their wishes. It's only natural that money would influence the decision-making process, but refusing to admit this influence exists is disgusting. You're purposefully lying while lobbyists fill your pockets. I'll make my complaint very cogent. I'm a web developer. I use various hosts to make my sites available to the public. Repealing net neutrality would allow ISPs to slow down access to my sites just because some of the hosting companies failed to pay their "ransoms". One host that I enjoy using is pythonanywhere, mostly because it's free and I'm a python developer. Setup is easy with Django, and since git is preinstalled, local development is a breeze. I'm sure pythonanywhere cannot afford to pay a "ransom" to every greedy ISP looking for an extra buck, so after their traffic inevitably plummets from the forced slow-lane, I would lose their great service, which obviously negatively impacts me. Obviously, I don't want this to happen, so I'm writing to complain about this horrible decision and hope the FCC wises up. If they don't, I can assure you they'll face fierce backlash.
