Ringless voicemail must be stopped! They claim that the do not call list does not apply to them, but the only way to leave a voicemail, is to make a call. The fact that the phone does not ring, is irrelevant. If I have my ringer turned off, does that mean any call I get is not really a call? The CEO of Stratics -the company that developed the phone hack stated: "It really does put the power in that consumer's hand where they can essentially listen to the message or not listen to the message" That sounds like a hacker saying a potential victim has the power to either open the infected email, or delete it! The only way know what calls came from telemarketers, and which ones did not, is to listen to all of them. That negates Stratics assertions that the individual has the "power" to delete telemarketer voicemail's, without listening to them. They have found a way to circumvent the law to get what they want, by exploiting a vulnerability. It's the same sort of nefarious activity that require a security patch had it infected a computer's operating system. It is nothing more than a hack, and I strongly feel that hacks should never be tolerated.
