Mobile broadband access is not equivalent to high speed internet. It is more variable, affected by weather, subject to data caps, and often requires additional cost to tether devices to. My home broadband (100mbps FIOS) is 10x the speed of my mobile phone. Maybe 10 years ago, 10MBps would have sounded great. Back then I only had 3MBps DSL. Times have changed, and we should not go backwards. Now a days, my family of 4 will often be watching Netflix on multiple devices, playing online games, telecommuting to work, watching youtube videos, backing up files to the internet, and oftem multiple of these activities at the same time. This would simply not be possible with our mobile data plan. As a world technology leader, we need to continue to make high speed internet as ubiquitous as possible so that our nation continues at the forefront of technology. I emplore the FCC to reconsider their plan to consider mobile data "high speed internet access".
