There is not a more powerful tool in the modern world than the Internet. This tool can make or break a company. It has the power to change lives, hopefully usually for the good. In addition to business, the social and economic impact of the internet will continue to grow. There should not be an advantage for one company to demand or command more power through the internet than another. It is the one source that the almighty dollar does not influence as much as other modes of promotions.
It already is biased based on what a person is willing to pay to get posts or advertising to the forefront of pages. It does not need the help of the ISPs to make it more of a money-controlled instrument for larger corporations.
We also don’t want to see a future when you are charged in order to stream videos or pay to have sites load faster than others. We already pay extra for faster speeds. This reversal will not only cost consumers more by fees imposed by company giants but will eventually lead to ISPs charging consumers for using higher demand sites.
