FCC 17-199 Holding back rural broadband only accelerates the race to the bottom for millions of Americans. Broadband is critical to healthcare, education, public safety, economic development, communication, and quality of life. I live in an area where the only internet options are dial-up or satellite. Pricey, data capped satellite. And some folks can't even get satellite due to the terrain. I know families whose internet connection is a shared cell phone plan. Large parts of our county do not even have cell service. The many features of FirstNet will not be available to many first responders in this county. Broadband must be available to all. Access and affordability are critical. Roberta Klimas Rice, WA (Stevens County)
