I urge the FCC to keep Title II consumer protections for the Internet. The Internet should be treated like a utility and not a corporate content delivery device. This "restoring internet freedom" bullshit is nothing more than "allowing the ISP oligopoly to dictate what users are 'free' to access". Remember that much of this infrastucture was paid for by public taxes. If you want to meter Internet data usage similar to electric or water where you pay for the amount used, then fine. Any legal use of that traffic should be allowed! The utility commisions wouldn't allow water companies to charge more for filling up swimming pools than for taking showers. They wouldn't allow electric companies to charge different amounts for electricity going to fans vs. air conditioners. Don't allow ISPs to charge varying amounts based on what type of content is being transmitted, or more importantly since ISPs are also media companies, charging different amounts for *who* owns that content. Prove to us that you aren't bought and paid for by private interests by keeping Title II consumer protections in place. If you can't do that simple task, then you have truly failed in your duties to protect the american public. The only way to save face after such a farce is to have Ajit "Verizon's Bitch" Pai personally quote The Big Lebowski directly to the president by saying "Shut the fuck up Donnie you're out of your element". At least this would give us something to chuckle on for a brief moment while we can still access youtube. Seriously. Karen Smith
