I very strongly support Net Neutrality. Repeal, as proposed, would do nothing but hurt consumers, citizens, and ultimately corporations as well. Not only will it enable unfair business practices, likely to come at the cost of those that cannot afford it, but stagnate the United State’s standing as a bastion of creativity and innovation. From a business perspective, repeal of net neutrality will disproportionately benefit existing companies, or those that can afford significant networking advantages. Much of current US dominance is due to tech innovation, pushed often from unorthodox angles. While many do not want to admit this, the US has greatly benefitted from the past decade of technological innovation and disruption. If we do not continue this trend, we will ultimately lose some of our international competitive edge. This comes at a particularly vulnerable time in our history, where a number of US industries have refused to modernize, leaving us with only technology to fall back on. From a standpoint of patriotism, equality, and general common sense, I support Net Neutrality.
