To Whom it May Concern, I already submitted a standard comment, but I felt as though I should write another as evidence of concious and aware people who oppose the repeal of net neutrality. Net Neutrality is a principle that by the very ideaology of America should be supported and enforced. As an Americn Institituion, the FCC should have the primary interest of its citizens in mind, and the freedom of those citizens to consume publicly available utilities, like water, gas, electricity, and internet. The internet has evolved to a crucial structure of civilization like elctricity did over the late 19th and early 20th century, and should be given the same availability and treatment. To compare again to water. I as a taxpaying and bill paying citizen am comfortable with paying for water. It costs money to clean, control, and deliver and that is understandable. What I would not be comfortable with is having a class system, in which it costs more to get cleaner water. This would create an environment where the poor of society would not be able to afford proper clean water, and would be at a higher risk of illness or death form exposure to pollutants and toxins, where the wealthy are comfortable and safe. This would be unequal treatment of citizens of the United States by utility companies, which would currently be conssidered a crime. Now to draw this back to the internet. Without Net Net Neutrality, we could see such a system where different sources and websites are restricted to different classes, as we see in Portugal (http://www.iflscience.com/technology/country-net-neutrality/). So in this system, a rich american could easliy afford any package and consume any information that they desire, while poor Americans who cant afford the extra payment are restricted to consume only what thier company wants them to. Allowing for heavy bias, lack of public education, and censorship of sensetive subjects is not what the American Constitiution allows for. While the Constitution does not provide for internet currently, it should be treated like water in that all citizens have the right to the free and open flow of information and opinion. I know that the current Administration has a special interest in repealing Net Neutrality, but the public does not. As a government institution, I emplore you to please listen to your constituents, and do not repeal the regulations. America wants to be kept open and available, not restricted and censored. I also know that at the time of writing this that it is unlikely that anyone of importance will read this, as it has appeared to be the pattern of the current FCC to ignore the online feedback. But if anyone with some connections sees this, please vouch for the citizens. Please speak up for the people of America. We are cring out and want to be heard. Repealing Net Neutrality only has the good of large international corportations in mind, and repealing it is not in the interest of the American People, which is not what a government institution should stand for. I would also like you to know that we will be calling my local representatives and senators in order to inform them of my opinions and views as well. I hope you do what is best for the American people and reverse your decision to repeal net neutrality. Thank you for your time.
