I support the repeal of current 'net neutrality' regulations. These regulations give the federal government too much leverage over ISPs; such leverage could result in compromising the privacy of US citizens. Increased federal regulation of ISPs creates a barrier to entry for competition and deters novel business models that could benefit consumers. The solution to 'bad actors' at the ISP level should be addressed from the ground up, and previously existing regulations clarified or enforced more effectively. The 'net neutrality' regulations are an attempted solution to a problem that has been miniscule thus far and there is no empirical evidence to suggest that the scope of these problems will increase.
