I strongly recommend that the FCC continues to uphold the principles of net neutrality. Allowing ISPs to "throttle" internet content paves the way for having different plans for different connection speeds, further spreading inequality among users. Most at risk are low-income users. If ISPs are allowed to block or slow down access to certain websites, we virtually guaranty that new "pay-to-play" schemes will arise, giving the wealthiest corporations more power to quash unwanted competition. In 2016, the public and United States Appeals Court disapproved of an effort to repeal NN. Repealing NN will only benefit the monopolized internet service providers. The public overwhelming has its best interests in NN as it protects the consumer, and thus I stand to keep NN in effect.
