To Whom It May Concern, My name is Michael Lumsden and I would like to voice my STRONG OPPOSITION to the 17-108 "Restoring Internet Freedom" proposed action by the FCC. It is not in the best interests of consumers that Internet Service Providers be allowed to speed up or slow down content types/websites/or any other type of traffic discrimination. We pay them for bandwidth at already exorbitant rates that far exceed most of the developed world for the speeds, and with all this cash they choose not to invest in their networks. Allowing them another method to stifle speech (perhaps by forcing small content producers to be charged more for the bandwidth to access their site or upload to it) or even to put competitors at a disadvantage (as they themselves have content production as a part of their business - so why would they allow competitors to be quickly served up to consumers?) - it just doesn't make sense. SO PLEASE do NOT enact this proposal. Net Neutrality is my first priority and I will do everything in my power to ensure it is not destroyed in favor of corporate profits and interests.
