Do not repeal net neutrality. ISPs already tend to be regional monopolies. Without neutrality, many people with only one choice of internet provider will be forced into a per-to-play scenario. The entire purpose of the internet was for it to be a FREE and OPEN space to share information. If the repeal passes, ISPs will be able to control the information accessible to their customers. This is nothing short of CENSORSHIP and the removal of FREE SPEECH. Freedom of Speech, Freedom of Religion, and Freedom of the Press are the core tenants of our FREE SOCIETY in the United States. Without this, we become no different than China, North Korea and the like, who control information. We will allow others to determine what information, we the FREE people, are allowed to see. Imagine not being able to email, text, or share a picture or video with a friend or family member. Perhaps that person doesn't have access to Facebook because soley because they can't afford to pay their internet provider more money just to have access to that service. Maybe their provider has outright blocked Facebook because Facebook doesn't want to pay a "Fee" to be accessible on Comcast's network. Need a ride? Sorry, you can't access Uber on Verizons network. Uber can only be used on AT&T. Need to email that important document to a client? Sorry, unless you pay extra to send it now, Verizon will put your email in the slow queue and send it when it can. If you think this sound ridiculous, that's because it is. But beyond being ridiculous, it's also scary, because this IS the future of the internet if net neutrality is repealed.
