I urge the FCC to maintain the current state of Net Neutrality on December 14, 2017. The current regulations protect the consumer from being blackmailed by ISP throttling desired content. Since most users of the internet are limited to a single provider, there should be protection from the monopolies being able to be free of federal control. The ISPs are for all practical purposes utilities and should be regulated as such. The internet has become a necessity in modern day life. Many Americans receive all their news, much of their shopping, streaming media and mail via the internet. The decline in mail by the majority of people for personal communications elevates access to the internet as a necessity. I agree with others that that Ajit Pai's history and association with Verizon Communications should be treated as someone who should disqualify themselves from voting on Net Neutrality. His vote will directly influence Verizon as well as all other ISPs.
