I am writing to voice my profound opposition to the repeal of net neutrality. Yeah, I get it - your chairman is pretty much owned lock, stock, and barrel by Verizon and other massive telecom corporations. So he pretty much has to dance to whatever music they’re playing. But we the people have pretty clearly spoken on the matter - your repeal idea sucks ass. The major ISPs have ALREADY proven time and again that they will cheerfully engage in all manner of unethical, anti-competitive behavior, impugn customer sovereignty, and stifle actual innovation. In short, they are a living embodiment of an offensive abortion of free market values. And you folks are like “Oh, I’m sure they won’t do anything bad THIS time!” Man, screw you. This is going to be a cluster fuck for anyone that isn’t a Verizon, AT&T, or Comcast stakeholder. The internet will suck. It will be an undo financial burden on the people who helped get you into that cushy office. Pretty much everything that has made the internet an amazing and dynamic space that fosters innovation the likes of which our species has never seen before will fucking die, and its blood will be on your hands. Don’t fuck this up for the rest of us. Keep the internet awesome, embrace free market ideals at their purest, and maybe in 2020 when the GOP gets its ass bounced the fuck out of the majority we’ll let you keep your jobs.
