Regarding Net Neutrality I wish to argue favor of the current rules on Net Neutrality.. The Internet is currently FREE of Censorship and though I will admit many web pages Offend me.. I simply do not go there.. I do however wish to defend the right of the posters to offend. Net Neutrality preserves Freedom of Speech, Something Congress shall make no law opposing, And Congress made the FCC so this applies to you as well. Alsom Net Neutrality protects the ISP's. Back in the 1980's before the Internet was opened to the public I joined Compuserve Information Service, Now Community.Compuserve.com, and soon I'm afraid to become history (on 12/5/2017) Other competing services existed back then and some of them practiced censorsip of posts and E-mails. They were sued big time and some went bankrupt as a result. Compuserve, however, survived because they folled the same "Neutrality" rules as the post office (Common Carrier rules) If a letter is posted. The Post office delivers it, as posted IF an E-mail or forum poste was posted. Compuserve, likewise, delivered it AS POSTED, no edits (only one small exception I will cover shortly) Even as a Moderator (Which I am) I am not aqllowed to remove or edit a post EXCEPT IN THE RARE CASE where a member specifically asks me to edit it (A member may edit for a period of time, A Moderator hoever, has greater edit power) I am allowed to move it into a private section where only the Poster and other moderators can see it, but NOT to delete it (Did this one time in 30 years) THis Neutrality Protected Compuserve (What killed it, Well H&R Block sold it to AOL and they killed it). But I'd argue for Neutrality both for Free Speec and for protection of the ISP's.. I"m not the only one who remembers that they can be sued.
