Please maintain net neutrality to ensure a free and open internet.

Large corporations already have so much power in this country; please do not let them have more by allowing them (more) control over what we see and access on the internet (this includes "prioritizing" speeds for certain sites over others).  The internet needs to be treated and protected as an essential utility that every American needs access to in order to succeed in the modern world.  

Keeping the internet neutral promotes healthy competition because it allows for small businesses and startups to have the same access to markets as large corporations, which is good for consumers.  Allowing the internet to be bought and sold will only accelerate the transformation of our economy into an oligopoly (see all the M&A activity that has been going on to make corporations bigger and bigger) which will hurt American workers and consumers.

The internet is a shining symbol of our First Amendment Rights.  It is the ultimate tool to exercise our freedom of speech, expression, assembly and freedom of the press.  We cannot have internet providers be the gatekeepers to this.  The potential for manipulation and restriction of free speech (in the practical sense) is enormous.  For example, if a news site runs an article critical of Comcast, they would be able to slow down access to their site so that they would lose readers and hence revenue and ultimately cause others to shy away from being critical of them.  This power is wrong!  The internet needs to be free and open!
