FCC, I am writing to ask that you would please not repeal net neutrality. This is what keeps cost of internet down, allows anyone to use the internet for whatever purpose without any added fees or traffic throttling. These services include using VOIP, on which which many small businesses rely. The current cost also allows me to work remotely vs in the office as I would need to use services that would, if net neutrality did not exist, incur many fees to be able to use and would no longer be affordable or price-worthy in the eyes of my company. This means that when I am sick, I would have to go into the office and infect others. When there is inclement weather, I would have to take a day off to avoid driving into the office. This means lost productivity as others would find themselves in the same predicament. Aside from business, there are many ways the American people use the internet - hobbies, entertainment, keeping in touch with relatives that live afar. This will all be negatively impacted. Those who can’t afford cable but can afford $9 a month for netflix will be forced to pay more for streaming as it will be one of the services that will incur a fee. VOIP communications, like FaceTime and Skype, will incur throttling or force added fees. This has already been attempted and was halted by laws and lawsuits. Net neutrality was established to prevent companies from unfairly setting fees and throttling traffic for whatever service they choose. Companies have already tried to do this and have been stopped by current laws and lawsuits. This is common knowledge and can be easily verified. This means that many companies who failed to do this in the past are poised and ready to set fees and throttle traffic should net neutrality be repealed. So, I ask that you not repeal net neutrality for the betterment of the American people. Keep the internet neutral to ALL parties. Kimberly Doe
